A 3-days webinar on RF front-end communication was organized by the Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gauhati University, from 1st December 2020 to 3rd December 2020. The objective of the webinar was to give an overview of Radiofrequency Front-end Communication techniques

The webinar was organized by considering a target group of post-graduate students and research scholars from physics, electronics, and computer science

Dr. Somak Bhattacharyya (IIT-BHU, Varanasi, India) was the resource person for the first day of the webinar series. He provided an excellent lecture entitled Recent Advances in High-Frequency Communication. 

The second day’s lecture was delivered by Dr. Soumava Mukherjee (IIT-Jodhpur, India) on the topic Slot antennas- Theory and Recent Applications.

And Dr. Debdeep Sarkar (IISc, Bangalore, INDIA) delivered the third lecture of the webinar series. The title of his speech was 1G to 5G and Beyond- Journey from Antenna Engineer's Perspective.

Fifty-four (54) participants from different institutions actively participated in the webinar series.

This webinar would not have been successful without the active support and constant encouragement from Prof. Utpal Sarma, Head, Instrumentation & USIC. The entire event was co-ordinated by Dr. Pranjal Borah and jointly co-ordinated by Dr. Debashis Saikia and Mr. Nairit Barkataki.
