A hands-on workshop on "High-Resolution Digital Microscopy and its Applications for Academic Research " was organized by the Department of Instrumentation and USIC on 19th January 2023, in collaboration with Olympus.

The program aimed to introduce Evident (Olympus) solutions, streamlining inspection and research workflows for quick and automated analysis. This initiative provided an invaluable opportunity for participants to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge digital microscopy technology, enhancing their research capabilities and technical skills.

This workshop was tailored for young students, researchers, and faculty members from colleges, universities, and research institutes. It featured a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, covering a wide range of topics essential for modern research in microscopy.

The workshop covered methods to streamline research workflows through automated analysis and efficient inspection techniques. The agenda culminated in an extensive hands-on session from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, where participants engaged directly with the equipment, focusing on sample preparation, image acquisition, and data analysis. Participants were also given an opportunity to analysis their samples during the session and visual the findings with support from the experts.

The entire event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Nairit Barkataki, ensuring that all aspects were meticulously planned and effectively implemented.
