The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Swaminathan Pichai Iyer. The topic of his lecture is Hardware aspects of Instrumentation and Control Systems. Prof. Swaminathan Pichai Iyer is the former Vice-Chancellor of Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, Chennai. He was previously a Scientist-H at IGCAR, where he developed Instrumentation and Control System for supervision and control of Fast Breeder Test Reactor (FBTR). He was posted for two years at Electronics Corporation of India Ltd, Hyderabad to actively participate in the manufacture of Real Time Computer Systems and Safety Logic Systems for FBTR. Prof. Iyer received the Homi Bhabha Award in 2009 and has several reputed international publications in the field of Instrumentation.
